William Larry Moreman 83, Born Aug 31,1939. A Father and a friend of many unexpectantly passed
away on the evening of Nov 17,2022 of medical complications.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Dora of Tilton, IL , and their many children. Larry Hawks, Dawn
James, Robert Hoaks, Larry Moreman Reaves, Tamy Moreman Reaves, Mark Moreman Reaves and Brian
Moreman. And also by his Brothers, Robert Moreman and Dennis Wilson. Larry was Preceded in Death
by both his parents Frank Moreman and Ruth Moreman Wilson. 3 Sisters, Shirley Burris and husband
Mick Burris, Alice Faye Cooke and husband Louise Cooke, And Joanne Jones and husband Oakee Jones. Oakes still survives. Also a daughter Tracy Moreman.
Larry also leaves behind a special niece DaLee Cooke, Jim Kennedy, a
special Grandson Nathaniel James. He was proud of him for his football accomplishments,and also for
his service in the Marines. Also a 2nd special Grandson (his mini me) Brandon Moreman whom he was
proud of for following in his Carpentry footsteps. Nieces Cindy Burris, Brandi Jones Store. Nephews
Johnny Burris and Chris Jones. A special Cousin Morol Lee and Ed Knight, also a Cousin Diane Reed. Also
his special Dellwood Street neighbors. Matthew and Bonnie Jones and Darrell Hendricks whom he
enjoyed talking with & even sometimes enjoyed arguing with. LOL…
In his younger years Larry grew up by the Quarry outside of Fairmount, IL then he eventually moved to
Danville, IL He eventually got into wrestling and baseball, which he lettered in as a Sophmore. He held
many titles as a YoYo champion as well. He enjoyed hunting until in his 30’s. His other hobby was a Ham
Radio Operator. He obtained his Ham Radio Operators license in the late 70’s. His call Sign was N9GAR.
This was an accomplishment that he was very proud of. Larry loved to ride around in his yellow 51 Chevy
truck with his dog Keeba. They would pop in on our Jobsites often, just to say hi. It was always good to
see him. That is something that I’ll always miss while I am at work.
Larry worked at a commercial Glass Company in the early 60’s as a Glazer in the Loa Angeles, Ca area.
He then was employed with Roy Wrinkle Glass Company. He was then employed with Berline Roofing as
a Roofer doing most of the areas District 118 school buildings. He then went to work for Bullock Homes until
approximately 1984. In 1991, Together he and I started Moreman’s Home Improvements specializing in
Roofing and siding. We worked together side by side until he semi retired. I later turned it into
Moreman’s Home Improvements LLC. Dad, thank you for passing on your knowledge. In return I too shall
pass it onto my children and others. You were one BAD ASS Carpenter.
Per Larry’s wishes, we will have him Cremated. At a later date we will update you as to when we will
hold a Memorial Service for Larry, at which time we can all gather in comfort shareing our fond
memories and stories.
We would like to thank all the family and friends for their prayers. In our hearts always, and never to
be forgotten. WHAT A MAN!!!
