Todd Lloyd Crawford Obituary

Todd Lloyd Crawford

Todd Lloyd Crawford, 62, of Danville, Illinois, passed away on June 24, 2026, at 10:02 p.m. at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 8, 1964, Todd was the son of Pat Pichon and Lloyd Crawford. Todd spent his life doing what came naturally to him: working with his hands and helping others. A mechanic by trade and a true jack of all trades, there wasn't much he couldn't repair. Whether it was a vehicle, a household project, or something everyone else had given up on, Todd had a way of figuring it out. If something was broken, people knew they could count on him.

But the things Todd treasured most could never be built with tools. His greatest joy came from the people he loved.

He cherished every moment spent with his daughter, Laney, her fiancé, Dale, and especially his beloved granddaughter, Ivy, who was truly the light of his life. Nothing made him smile more than spending time with Ivy, whose quick wit and feisty personality matched his own. She never hesitated to give his playful teasing right back, and he loved every second of it. Todd also looked forward to visiting two of his favorite people, Katlin and Terry Riley, in Missouri, and making memories with the many family members and friends who meant so much to him.

Todd is survived by his loving daughter, Laney Crawford; his cherished granddaughter, Ivy Lewis; his stepfather, Frank Pichon; his stepmother, Clyda Crawford; his brothers, Greg (Silver) Crawford, Chad (Michelle) McGraw, Timothy Crawford, Jeff Crawford, and Shane (Cassie) Wynn; his sisters, Robin Smith and Carla Schafer; along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind countless lifelong friends who became family and will forever treasure the memories they shared.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Sage Crawford; his granddaughter, Ella Pitmon; his mother, Pat Pichon; his father, Lloyd Crawford; his sisters, Jody Fletcher and Tammy Musson; and one of his dearest friends, Stevie Musson.

Anyone who knew Todd knew he was one of a kind, a spitfire with a wicked grin and a personality that was impossible to forget. He had a quick wit, a sharp sense of humor, and a way of making everyone around him laugh. He loved good-natured trash talk, swapping stories, sharing a drink with his buddies, and never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand. If he teased you, chances were he loved you. His humor, generosity, and unwavering loyalty made him the kind of person people were naturally drawn to.

Todd wasn't the kind of man who measured life by possessions. He measured it by time spent with family, conversations with friends, projects completed with his own two hands, and memories made with the people he loved. His generosity, loyalty, and unmistakable laugh will remain with those fortunate enough to have known him.

Though Todd could fix almost anything, the one thing he could never repair was the hearts he leaves behind. His memory will live on in every story told with laughter, every helping hand offered to someone in need, every project tackled with determination, and every smile shared in his honor.

To his family, he was so much more than the man who could fix anything. He was Dad, Grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He taught those who loved him that sometimes love isn't always spoken. It's shown through showing up, lending a hand, sharing a laugh, and never giving up on the people who matter most.

Dad, thank you for teaching us that love isn't always found in words. It can be found in the things you fixed, the time you gave, the laughter you shared, and the people you never gave up on. We will carry your memory, your lessons, and your love with us every day. Until we meet again, we love you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once they have been finalized.
