Steve Harmeson 70 of Danville passed away on 10/11/2024 at his home with family at his side.
Steve was born February 4, 1954 in Danville to Charles E. Sr. and Charlotte (Cope) Harmeson. Steve married Donna (Bullington) on February 21, 1976 together they have two children Brande (Craig Barth) Winchester, Steven Tyler (Jessica Keleminic) Harmeson; two grandchildren Jordan and Kolin Winchester. Steve leaves behind two sisters Vickie (Don) Albright, Lisa (Dewey) McClain, one brother Brian Harmeson, one brother inlaw Tom Horton along with numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Nancy Horton and brother Charles (Chuckie) Harmeson Jr.
Steve graduated from Oakwood in 1972, while attending school he played football, baseball, wrestled, ran cross country and played golf. Steve was a flooring installer for many years.
Steve was an avid Bears, Cubs and Illini fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, poker and traveling to casinos. He was a fighter till the end. He worked hard, played hard and loved hard. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed!
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Vermilion County Handicap Association.
