Shelley LeAnn (Sams) Badger, 53, of Perrysville, Indiana passed away at her residents on November 20th 2021 at 7:50 am. Shelley was born to Hershel Edwin Sams and Jenny Ruth (Smith) Sams on April 29th 1968 in Danville, Illinois.
Surviving family, a brother Donald Sams, an aunt Wilma (Larry) Straughn Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter Chelsie (Austin) Acord and granddaughter Maevyn Acord; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Paige Badger; 4 brothers: Robert (Peggy) Sams, Hershel Sams, Ronald Sams, and Keith Sams.
Shelley was a graduate at Covington High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College where she earned her certified medical assistant license. Her occupations included a phlebotomist and pharmacy technician before she was a nurse at the Waters of Covington and at several providers’ offices in Danville, IL. As a nurse, Shelley provided passionate care for the sick and vulnerable with a smile and gentle presence. As a hobby Shelley had a passion for crocheting; she made blankets for those she cared for and created many other homemade projects through the years. Shelley was known for her caring nature, gentle personality, and selfless acts of kindness. She had so much love for her daughter, sister-in-law; Peggy Sams, and granddaughter. Shelley lived happily in simplicity and spent most of her time enjoying making memories with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Shelley L. Badger will be held at Bella Marie’s Banquet Center in Westville, IL on Sunday, November 28th at 1pm IL time.
