Sharon Kay Steele (Morrison), 72, of Georgetown, Illinois, passed away on September 25, 2025. Sharon will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Mildred (Carter) Morrison, her four children: Sandra Jones (Steele), Candice, Teresa, and William Steele, and 10 grandchildren: Erin, Harlee, Camron, Justice, Comfort, Nolla, Stephanie, Alexis, Allie, Brandon, and two great-grandchildren, Tiana and Gatlin. She is also survived by three sisters: Cindy (Paul) Doggett, Rhonda (James) Crawley, and Laurie (Joe) Vice, and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Morrison, and her husband, George Lee Steele, who passed away three years to the date, on September 25, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bert and Eva (Kabasinskas) Steele.  

Sharon was born on November 4, 1952. She grew up in Georgetown, IL, and was a graduate of Georgetown High School. She married George on September 18, 1971. She lived in Georgetown and raised her family. Sharon worked at the Sewing Factory and Hills before later returning to school to become a beautician.

She was deeply involved in her community and children's activities, having coached pom poms and led Girl Scouts. Sharon was the President of the Auxiliary Post 203 in Georgetown, IL. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, and watching Christian programming.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Georgetown American Legion Post 203 on November 9th at 2:00 PM.
