Ruthie Reffett, 79, of Danville, Illinois, passed away on April 24th, 2026, at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Calvin and Velma Osenbaugh. Ruthie is survived by her husband Michael (Mick) Reffett of Danville, Illinois, three sons, William Marquis of Sheldon, Illinois, Robert (Kristin) Marquis of Watseka, Illinois and Robb (Patty) Chapman of Lafayette, Indiana; three stepchildren, Teri Reffett of Potomac, Illinois, Michael (Tess) Reffett of Alvin, Illinois and Carol Reffett of Alvin, Illinois; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and step grandchildren.

Ruthie cherished her time as a "snowbird". She spent her winters in La Belle, Florida, where she enjoyed the warm sun and the beauty of the beach. Upon returning to Illinois for the summer months, Ruthie poured her heart into gardening and treasured sunny afternoons on the lake.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life and luncheon on May 9th, 2026, at the Gao Gratto, 2400 Denmark Road, Danville, Illinois, from 11am-2pm.

Cremation rites are being entrusted to Watson Cremation Services in Danville, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Dyslexic Center of East Central Illinois, located in Danville.
