Richard William Carrigan (Otto) of Grape Creek, Danville IL passed away at 9:31 am on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at home. He was born on November 17, 1953 to Virginia T. Lawless and Otto R. Carrigan in Danville IL.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents.    Richard is survived by his 6 children Melissa Sandlin of Georgetown IL, Kristina Carrigan of Linden IN, Roy Carrigan (Connie Trussel) of Danville IL, Josh Carrigan of Danville IL, Heather Winkler of Westville IL, and Dalton Carrigan of Veedersburg IN; 16 grandchildren and 3 great children; 2 sisters Gloria (Jim) Hawkins of Oakwood IL, Denise Brasker of Westville IL, 2 brothers Norman (Dan) Carrigan of Georgetown IL, and Keith Carrigan of Westville IL.
   Richard loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed spending summer night fishing at Stoney Creek and Red Bridge in Grape Creek. He enjoyed hunting and camping with family. He loved to help other people. Richard was someone you could count on to fix anything. But most of all he loved being a dad and grandpa.
   Watson Cremation Services LLC in Danville IL is in charge of cremation. There will be a Celebrate of Life at a later date when all the family can get together.
