Michael A. Tibbetts Sr. 77, Born in Danville Illinois passed away December 31, 2021 at OSF Hospital. The corner stone of a large family he created leaving behind six children; Matthew A. Tibbetts Sr. Glenn A. Tibbetts Sr., Kimberly D. Tibbetts, Michael A. Tibbetts II, Joanne S. Tibbetts & Ashley E. Tibbetts. He also, adopted Jacob A. Walls Sr., and took in Joseph R. Seilhymer under his wing. Teaching his children and 25 grandchildren different skills and trades he learned was his ultimate hobby. This man truly could fix anything. If he couldn’t, he would always create his own way! There was no giving up. He served in the U.S. Army, 1st Air Calvery Division during Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. Following that he had many careers; farming, mechanics, trucking, he served as a police officer in Westville, IL. He also was a volunteer engineer for Lynch Fire Department. There just aren’t enough words to explain what a legacy he truly is.
He will have a graveside service with military honors held at The Danville National Cemetery on January 13, 2021 at 12 noon.
