Michael Eugene Glines Obituary
Michael “Mike” Eugene Glines, a husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, mentor, and the biggest football fan of the Georgetown-Ridgefarm Buffaloes passed away loved and peacefully August 1st, 2026.
Mike’s life was defined by love. His family didn’t understand how one person could have so much love for so many people. He never met a stranger. Everyone that came to know him was a better person because of him. That’s just the impact he had on people. He left a legacy and impact in the community as well. He was a man of character, integrity, courage, pride, and toughness.
He was born December 7th, 1951 to Ross and Ruby Glines. He attended numerous schools during his childhood and ended his academic career at Westville HighSchool where he developed a passion for football. He graduated in 1968.
He met the love of his life Teri Glines(See) and instantly knew he was going to marry her. They were married on August 31 1974. They had 4 children together: Michelle Glines, Tony (Crys) Glines, Crissy (Tyler) Carpenter, and Eric (Heather) Glines.
Mike enjoyed hot wheels, woodworking, football, keeping his yard maintained, building, mushroom hunting, and the holidays - especially Christmas and spending time with his family. He also loved the smoky Tennessee mountains. He will forever have a legacy and be remembered by his loved ones. He brought out the best in people and selflessly never asked for anything in return. He never turned down a hungry mouth. He made every room he was in brighter. He is loved by many. He was always reliable and thoughtful and never stopped doing what he loved most - being with his wife. His family will never forget “just one more thing”.
He was preceded by: His parents, sister and brother in law Marylynn and Mark Jones, Brother in law Gene O’Dear, Sister in law Susie See, mother and father in law, Warren and Betty See, nephews Brian Glines and Darrell Glines
He was survived by: his wife and children, Grandchildren, Lexi Watson, Riley (Katie) Glines, Tyler (Cloe) Lappin, Devin (Illiana) Lappin, Logan (Paige) Lappin, Cecilia Boyd (Damien), Nadia Boyd (Ethan), Malaina Boyd, Alex Glines, Aiden Glines, Austin Glines.
