Matthew Burleson Obituary

Matthew (Matt) Douglas Burleson passed away peacefully Friday evening, December 18th of 2020 at his home in Danville Illinois. He was 60 years old. Services will be held at a future date.

Matthew was born on September 15th, 1960 in Hamilton, Alabama to Marshall Foch and Barbara Ann (Manus) Burleson. He was preceded in death by both parents. Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years Kathleen Marie (Maddox) Burleson, daughter Patricia Ann (Maddox-Stevenson) Burleson, two beautiful grandchildren, older brother Mark Lee Burleson and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Matthew graduated in 1978 from Seeger Memorial high school in Williamsport Indiana. He served as Presidential Honor Guard to President Reagan during his tenure with the Air Force. He enjoyed music, automobiles, movies, television, gaming and spending time with friends and family. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
