Laurie Anne Sturgeon passed away of natural causes on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at OSF hospital in Danville Illinois with Family by her side she was the daughter Richard (Tuffy), Vanleer, and Anita (Anne) (Hoskins) Vanleer she was born in Williamsport Indiana on May 20, 1960. She married Randy Sturgeon in 1978 later divorced in 1992. She had an associate's degree in horticulture from DACC. She loved gardening mushrooming and rock hunting, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughters.
Lori is survived by her three children Chad (Lisa) Vanleer Correna (Joey) (Shaun) Ellis and Jessie Sturgeon
Grandchildren Toby (Chandler) Ellis, Cameron (Cierra) Ellis Annika Ellis Lucas Ellis, Bryce Vanleer Brydan pow Trey (Rylie) Russell Lexie (Nick) Russell and Branson Russell.

brother Harold Vanleer sister Nancy (Vanleer) Ross. And many cousins and nieces and nephews.
She proceeds in death by her parents, Richard Vanleer, Ann Vanleer, her daughter Chasity (Sturgeon) Russell her granddaughter Autumn star Vanleer.
Cremation has been done by Watson Cremation Services
We will be having a celebration of life on August 8, 2026, from 2 o’clock to 5 o’clock at West Lebanon Christian Church in the family life center. 201 S. Clinton St. West Lebanon, IN.
