Joyce "Jo" (Quartier) Miles

Jo Miles, 60, of Georgetown passed away on Friday August 5th 2022 at her home. She was born October 12th 1961, the youngest child of Frank and Lu Mowers. She is survived by her siblings Don (Wendy) Mowers of Danville, IL and DeAnna (Ward) Hall of Fairbanks, AK.

December 30, 1981. She married Robert "Tim" Quartier and together they have a daughter, Darci Quartier. Later in life on September 19th 2009 she married David Miles and gained her bonus children and grandchildren Joe (Crystal) Miles of Georgetown, IL, Jessica Miles of Westville, IL, Damian Miles of Jacksonville, NC, Aleysia (Braiden) Rife of San Clemente, CA, Peyton Miles of Georgetown, IL and Gunner Miles of Georgetown, IL. She is also survived by her fur baby Dozer Wayne and her nieces and nephews Naomi (Norman) Skinner, Meghan (Dustin) Gerrity, Mary Kate Hall, Alice Hall, Jesse (Rosette) Hall and Jacob Hall along with many great nieces and nephews. Through the years she did gain a few extra daughters that she loved as her own Nikki Nelson, Rachel Hall, Rachel Duitsman and Kelly Lowe.

Jo graduated from Danville Area Community College School of Nursing with her LPN license and for 30 plus years worked at Danville Care Center as a floor nurse then later a Nurse Manager. During her time there the residents and staff were all considered family to her.

Her passion in life was definitely spending time with her family, friends and traveling with her husband David. Going to Memphis TN to listen to the blues on Beale Street was her favorite vacation spot. Most weekends in the summer you could find her, David and Dozer camping at Forrest Glen enjoying nature and the company of fellow campers.

Over the years she had many special people and friends come into her life, the entire Jim and Jo's family, her Danville Care family and all of her daughter's friends she welcomed with open arms. Jo was a very loving and passionate person, anyone that had the pleasure to know her knew that she would always be there for them for any reason, she was always just a phone call away.

Per her wishes there will not be any services, however a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
