Joseph william Bannerman

Joseph William Bannerman known as “Uncle Joe” 63 of Georgetown, IL passed away on January 30th, 2023.

Joe was born on April 27th, 1959, to Alice and Demetrious (Jim) Bartzis in London Ontario, Canada. They proceed him in death. Also proceeding him in death are brother Chris Bartzis, nephew Christopher Bartzis, and nephew Peter Berryman.

Joe is survived by his siblings, Peter Bartzis, Susan (Mark) Kinsman, and Steven Bartzis, nieces and nephews, Bonita Riley, Robert Keller, Victor Martinez, Samson Garcia, and Valerie Garcia. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews survive him as well.

Although Joe did not have children of his own, he was more than just an uncle, more like a father to, nieces and nephew, Elizabeth, Andreas, Elena, and Allison Bartzis, who will miss him dearly.

Joe had a passion for motorcycles and muscle cars. You could often find him behind the screen watching a Chicago Blackhawks or Bears game. He loved Rock n Roll. His favorite band was The Scorpions and he saw them in concert several times. Joe always had a good joke to tell you too. Above all Joe loved his family and friends tremendously and his love will always carry on with them. He will be dearly missed; may he rest in peace.
