John Williams, 57, of Danville, IL., passed away January 4th, 2024. He fought a long battle with colon cancer. John was born April 15th, 1966 to Daniel and Linda (Lyman) Williams, Linda survives. He was preceded in death by his father Danny Williams and his brother Alan Williams. He left behind the love of his life, Kari Jean Williams. Together they blended a family. John has one son, Daniel (Gabi) Williams, a daughter, Samantha (Arron) Davis, who he helped raise since she was very young, two step children who became part of his life, later in life, Heather Keefer and Chase Connelly and his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart, every one of them. The love he had for all his children was so special. John loved to stay at home, grill out on his grill, no matter the weather he would be outside flipping hamburgers or putting sauce on his famous ribs. He loved sports, his favorite teams were Illini, Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. You could ask John any sports question and he would have the answer and if he didn't he would make sure to find it. John was a very smart man who loved to learn. Those who knew John will always know what a kind heart he had. He gave his biggest part of his to his sweet mother, Linda Williams, she was very special to him and was by his side everyday when he was sick and helped take care of him. John worked for Tyssen Krupp Crankshaft for 28 years. John will be cremated by Watson Cremation & Funeral Services in Danville. A memorial service will be held at the Vermilion County Airport on Saturday January 27th, 2024 from 12-4 p.m. Be ready to share a special story you had with John.
