Jessica Renee (Barnes) Rone April 18, 1981 – May 18, 2026

Jessy Rone passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital on May 18, 2026. Jessy was born on April 18, 1981, in Danville, IL. Jessy was the daughter of James (Bo) & Jamie (Bodart) Barnes of Georgetown, IL. She graduated from Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School in 1999. Jessy had two sisters, Jennifer Key and Judith (Layney) Alexander. Jessy didn’t have any children of her own, but she loved all her nieces and nephews. She had worked a variety of jobs, from health care at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman and the VA in Danville to customer service at Casey’s in Chrisman and Walmart in Paris. She loved spending time with her friends and laughing. She always found a funny video to share, so you always knew she was thinking about you. Jessy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Ray (Bo) Barnes. She is survived by her Mother Jamie Lynn (Bodart) Barnes of Chrisman, IL, Sisters; Jennifer Lynn (Chad) Key of Chrisman, IL and Judith Layne (Kyle) Alexander of Chrisman, IL, Nieces; Kursten Carleigh Barnes of Chrisman, IL, Mikaila (Dylan) Bogard of Clarksville, TN, Sydney Skye Key of Carrollton, IL,  Arabella Lynn Barnes of Chrisman, IL, Alexis Jayd (Jared) Vandevanter of Evans, GA, and Jaidyn Rae Alexander of Chrisman, IL, Great niece; Sawyer Leigh Key of Carrollton, IL and Lorelai Christine Rose Bogard(due July 28th) . Nephews; Ethan James Key of Chrisman, IL,  Asher Austin Alexander of Chrisman, IL, Great nephew; Patrick Donovan James Bogard of Clarksville, TN, Uncles;  Robert Wayne Mosier(Leslie) of Indianola, IL, Carl Lynn (Debbie) Barnes of Catlin, IL, and Carl H. (Pete) Manning of Danville, IL, Aunts; Vicky Sue(Shukri) Almahrous of Mubarak Abdullah, Kuwait, Kelly Elaine (Joe) Ingalsbe of Indianola, IL, and Gina Manning of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Numerous cousins, and several great aunts and uncles.

She will be deeply missed by special friends Brandon Roberts, Danny Shirley, Amanda and Chloey Darch, and lifelong friends Leslie Krause, Becky Rutan, Lana Douglass, and Mary Beth Wynn McDermott. We want to thank all her friends listed and not for loving Jessy, making memories with her, and welcoming her into your families. She loved each of you, and we know that you will all miss her as much as we do.
