Jerry Pearson Obituary

Jerry Dean Pearson, 83, of Catlin passed away peacefully at his home on March 4,
2023 surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born to Lela (Bolinger) Pearson and Thomas A. Pearson on April 14,
1939 in Lafayette, IN. Jerry was raised in Danville from the age of 3 and lived
there until 1970 when he and his wife moved their family to Catlin. Jerry worked
many jobs around the Danville area until he finally retired from Heatcraft in 1997
after working there for 30 years.
Jerry met his wife, Donna, in Danville and the two were married in 1958 at First
Baptist Church in Danville. Jerry and Donna went on to have four children; Lori,
Steve, Tim, and Jennifer. Jerry was also a foster parent, giving a home to dozens
of children who needed one.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, popcorn, playing cards, (especially
euchre) and spending time outside “piddling around.” Jerry’s favorite activity in
his final years was putting puzzles together with Donna.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Janice Keerns, of
Danville.
Jerry is survived by his loving, patient wife, Donna (Shouse) and their four
children; Lori (Tom) Foley of Covington, Steve (Pam Sembar) Pearson of
Georgetown, Tim (Heidi Brigman) Pearson of Grayson, GA, Jennifer (Luke) Myers
of Saint Libory, IL, and bonus daughter, Mariah Mills of Danville and her son Kyle,
9 grandchildren; Katie (Andy) Hardy of Covington, Rachel (Kyle) Janesky of Catlin,

will miss him.
