Jeffrey Alan Denton

Jeffrey A. Denton (63) of Westville passed away on April 4th, 2026 at 10:28 pm after a long hard battle with cancer. 

Jeff was born on June 15th, 1962 to Danny and Cheryl (Slabaugh) Denton.He is the brother of Kim Rickgauer, Amy (Rick) Zaayer, Dana (Rich) Klinkow, and Danny Denton.

Jeff graduated from Westville High School in 1980, and then joined the Navy. He was able to travel to places like Japan, Singapore, and Korea.He later on became a floor layer from 2003 to the time he retired at the age of 59. 

He married Tammy Denton (Davis) of Fairmount on April 29th, 2000. He was blessed with many children: Andrew (Holly) Brown of Mulberry, Indiana, Amber (Nick) Edwards of Springfield, Kayla (Shad) Kirby of Clinton, Indiana, Jessie Ford of Georgetown, and Karlie (Brody) Cosat of Georgetown. Along with many beautiful grandkids: Logan, Zeke, Dominick, Aiden, Alina, Collin, Tristan, Christian, Layla, Aliza, Taytum, and Shawn. 

 Jeff enjoyed watching any Illinois sport team, shooting baskets at the park, going fishing, collecting cars, working on model cars, and spending time with friends and family.

 Jeff is proceeded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, his granddaughter Taytum and many more friends and family members.

His services will be held at the Danville VA Chapel on April 17th, 2026. Visitation is at 11 am followed by funeral services at 12 pm.
