James Andrew Czajkowski passed away on August 5, 2025, at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville. He was 76 years old.
Jim was born on July 20, 1949, to John H. and Frances E. Czajkowski in Danville. He was a graduate of Oakwood Twp High School. Following graduation, he enlisted for four years in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. When he returned from his service to our country, he worked as a printer for Recording and Statistical and then the Commercial News in Danville. He later worked as a machinist for Krupp Gerlach. He enjoyed history and could recite many statistics from the Civil War. He also loved his land.
He is survived by his sister, Teresa (Jerry) Wright, his nephew, Graham (Tara) Wright and their children, Hayden and Addison Wright. Throughout his life he had a long and close friendship with his cousins, Gary (Paula) McMillin, Scott McMillin and Susie (Bob) Piatt. Their entire family were very dear to him.
Funeral arrangements are through Watson Cremation and Funeral Services of Danville. There will be a graveside service at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Danville with American Legion Post 210 providing honor guard.
