Jada Michelle Staub Obituary

Jada Michelle Staub, 57, lost her battle with cancer and was called home to the Lord Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL. She was born on September 24, 1968, in Danville, IL.

Jada was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She gave everything she had to her children and grandchildren—her resources, her wisdom, and her unwavering love. To Jada, a promise was sacred; she lived a life where, if there was a will, she made a way—always keeping her word and never letting those she loved down. Her legacy is one of selflessness and a love that knew no limits. If you knew Jada, you knew she was always full of humor, surprises, and laughter. She was incredibly proud of her family and made sure they knew it every time you spoke with her.

Jada’s faith was an important part of her life, a foundation first introduced to her by her mother, Janice. That relationship with Christ stayed with her and helped shape the way she loved and cared for others. She lived out the words of Proverbs 25:21: “If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.” Jada embodied this scripture through her kindness, compassion, and willingness to give to others without hesitation.

She poured her heart into her family, ensuring her children and grandchildren always felt the depth of her love. Jada had a rare gift for making everyone she met feel truly seen, loved, and cared for. She was one of those people you could spend hours talking to, and it felt like five minutes.

In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and listening to music—especially her favorite song, “Thought You Should Know” by Morgan Wallen. She enjoyed decorating her home and spending time with friends, including her lifelong friend, Dawn White. She was known for her comforting outlook on life, often saying, “It’s all good!! Don’t worry,” followed by her warming smile that let you know everything was going to be okay.

Jada is survived by her son, Steven (Audrey) Vice; her cherished grandchildren, Kamryn, Deven, Danielle, Madisson, Gage, Reighla, and Jaylee; and her siblings: her brother, Kenneth “Beau” (Lisa) Truelove, and their children, Kody, Kyle, Kristian, Kenneth, Karson, and Kalvin; her brother, Keith (Teresa) Truelove, and their son, Sheldon; as well as her sister’s children, Joey High, Jade (Jessica) High, Jessica Daily, and Jacob (Jennie) Daily; Brenda Truelove and her children, Matt, Chad, and Chelsea; along with many, many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Janice (Larry) Truelove; her father, James (Jim) Staub; her best friend and sister, Janelle Staub (Daily); her sister, Jill Staub; and her brother, Kevin Truelove.

Jada also leaves behind her “BFF,” Stephanie Lindenburg, and close friends Donald Jessup, Bradley Lawver, Jessie Thurman, and Chelly Howell.

She was proud to have earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology later in life.

To honor her beautiful spirit, a private celebration of life for family and invited friends will be held at a later date, where everyone will be welcome to share stories and celebrate the immense love she left behind.

Though she will be deeply missed here on earth, we find comfort in knowing Jada is now at peace, resting in the arms of her Savior, reunited with loved ones, and free from pain in her heavenly home.
