He graduated from Georgetown High School in 1972. He held various jobs thru out the years but his passion was in creating unique furniture from wood that he milled, old barns he tore down, homes that would be demolished or re purposing/restoring old pieces he bought or were given to him. He would answer the phone when his wife or daughter called saying “Dean's not so fine furniture”. In reality it very much was fine. The “cat whisperer” loved spoiling his kitties and hen, Gertrude. As his granddaughters got older, he would slip them a twenty dollar bill to go shopping with and in return he would get giggles and a thank you. He was proud of his children and the lives they created. He enjoyed sitting on the porch with his wife having coffee, talking about life, brainstorming their next project and recently humming old hymns for Diane to guess what they were. He was a simple man that loved to help people, telling stories to anyone that would listen, and just soaking up the life they created. He was very proud of their dream coming to life, Pine Ridge Studio.
Per his wishes he will be cremated that is being entrusted with Watson Cremation and Funeral Services. A memorial will be held on November 20, 2021 at their home, 20847 E. 900 North Road,
