Fred Wilburn

Fred Wilburn, 84, of Danville, IL. left this life on November 9th, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30th, 1939, in Montezuma, IN. to William and Nellie Wilburn. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife, Shirley Wilburn, two brothers LeRoy Wilburn, Kenny Ray Wilburn, a sister Dorothy Toney and a step son Michael Edwards. He is survived by his best friends Orie (Nancy) Wilburn, Melvin (Shirley) McPherson, six step children Debra (Butch) Atwood, Danny (Tawana) Edwards, Robert Edwards, Ramona (Steve) Ford, Troy Edwards, Randy (Nichole) Edwards, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a jokester, he loved to make people laugh and he never met a stranger. He also loved spending time in nature with his beloved wife and their dog, Trouble. He was in the Marine Corp and served in Korea. He worked at Star Fireworks until their closure. He then settled in at Auto Zone Warehouse until his retirement.
