Frank E. Hallett, age 77, passed away Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous two year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on July 29, 1948 in Danville, IL. Frank married the love of his life, Durene Hallett on August 10, 1968.  

Frank was a loving family man who enjoyed going to all of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids activities. Frank was also very involved in his community with youth sports and volunteering as a firefighter and EMT for the Catlin Fire Department. Frank loved fishing, golfing, and watching late model races rooting for Bobby Pierce. Frank worked at the Illinois Power Plant for 23 years and retired from Dynegy. After retirement he enjoyed spending his winters in Texas with his wife and winter Texans.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Durene Hallett. Children; Bryan (Sheila) Hallett, Nikki (Shawn) Fielder, and Shawn Hallett. Grandchildren; Jordan (Emily) Hallett, Trevor (Hannah) Hallett, Zachary (Paige) Fielder, Michaela (Kaleb) Pierce, Haley (Zach) Mau, Zoey (Slade Campbell) Fielder, Addyson Hallett, Zarianna Fielder, and Easton Hallett. Great grandchildren; Lula and Millie Hallett, Briggs and Truett Pierce, Tate Mau, Isabella and Hayes Fielder. He is also survived by his Siblings; Chuck (Sharon) Hallett, Wilma (Don) Wolf, and Eileen (Jerry) Bloxom. Brother-n-laws; Jeff (Paula) Wakeland, Pete (Tammie) Wakeland. Sister-n-laws Kim (Terry) Mitchell, Kelly Wakeland-Richardson, and Lynn (Brian) Bell. Frank is proceeded in death by his parents; Charles and Nellie Hallett. Brothers; Mike and Bob Hallett. Frank will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.  at Catlin American Legion for a Celebration of Life. Please come and enjoy some food, drinks, and fellowship.
