Earnest L. Smitley Sr., 90, of Georgetown, Illinois, joined his wife on December 27th, 2025. Ernest was born May 16th, 1935, the son of Ralph Smitley and Ruth Lower. Ernest married Virginia (Antrim) Smitley on October 27th, 1957, she preceded him in death. They had 3 children, E. Lee Smitley Jr. (Christy), Julia Adkisson (Donnie), and Carol Smitley. 4 grandchildren, Phillip L. Smitley (Deceased), Laura A Miller, Steven Wheeler Jr. (Ann) and Mathew Wheeler (Traci).
He will be laid to rest at 12 p.m. on December 31st, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm, IL.
