Eric Lee Bina of Westville was born on November 3, 1982 to Terry and Debbie Bina. He left this world at age 39 on June 19, 2022 and was welcomed home by his parents, grandparents, and his aunts, Jennifer Bina and Cathy Paxton.He will be missed by many, especially the lights of his life, his children, Quentin (Arianna), Ethan, and Preslee Bina and their mother Kaylen. Eric will forever be remembered by his loved ones including Kevin & Tammy Fox, Kelly & Stacy Fox, Steve, Luke & Ashley Paxton, Tracy & John Sleva, Dylan, Becca & Jace Bina, Ryan &  Abbey Rummel, Rhonda & Ken Moore, Kari Hoskins & Brian Krankavitch, Kandis & Ned Seldomridge, Kristen Hoskins and Ben Crooks, Renae & Mark Stine, Josh & Stephanie Witherspoon, Matt & Lauren Carrell, Jeremy & Kia McCorkle, Joshua Webb, and Justin Sergent as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, teammates, classmates, and friends. Everyone who knew Eric has a ‘Bina’ story and most involved some adventure, a bit of shenanigans, and a lot of laughter.  He never met a stranger and once he called you a friend, he was your loyal friend for life and would always greet you with a giant hug to let you know how happy he was to see you. Bina lived his best life when he was in the stands at his children's events, trying to live up to his mother's legacy of amazing cooking, sharing his eclectic taste of music with Quentin, talking sports with Ethan, doting on his 'princess' Preslee, finding any excuse for his friends and family to get together, making people laugh, having worldly conversations that left one pondering life, pestering those closest to him to show his affection, sharing his insane arsenal of random facts with anyone who would listen, riding the backroads of Vermilion County in his white Buick listening to music (likely, Sublime or Wu Tang), participating in basketball, football, and track & field as a Westville Tiger, attending St. Mary's Church, spending time at his family's cabin in Wisconsin, cheering for North Carolina Tarheels Basketball and Notre Dame Football, celebrating the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ (March Madness), sailing with the Captain, eating fried pickles from the Moon Glo, and enjoying the outdoors (often shoeless).

In lieu of tears, we know Eric would request everyone’s unique ‘Bina’ stories be told and retold often as he rather enjoyed the spotlight. A viewing service will be held Monday June 27th, 2022 at The Vineyard Church in Danville from 3-7pm. After the service, cremation will be performed by Watson Cremation Services. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and kind words during this difficult time.
