Dwight Leonard Newman, 70 passed away in peace at his home in Georgetown, Illinois on July 15th, 2024. 

Dwight was born May 8, 1954 in Mapleton, Iowa to Harold and Velma (Bolles). He was the youngest of four boys. Dwight graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School in 1972. 

He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Beckman on June 21, 1975. They welcomed their first born daughter, Jillian, two years later and then their son, Justin. Dwight was a very loving and hardworking husband, father and grandfather. His family always came first. 

Dwight will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Mary. Daughter Jillian and (Ben) Nesheim of Newell, IA  and their 5 children, Lexi, Kylie, Caden, Ellie and Bennet. Son, Justin (Jennifer) of Indianola, IL and grandson Bailey Newman. Granddaughter, Chelsea and great granddaughter Nova. Brother, Dean and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dale and Darrell.
