It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darren Allen “Koolaid” Whorrall Williams. Darren was born on October 17, 1997, in Danville, Illinois. Darren graduated from Danville High School in 2016. Darren was known to many by his nickname, “Koolaid.” Darren was a people’s person and was loved by many. Darren loved to make others laugh and would help anyone with anything. Darren was one of the hardest working people you would ever meet. Darren did lots of odds and ends jobs around the Danville area. Darren would just walk around town looking for anyone that needed help with a tough job and was always willing to help.
Darren was a huge sports fan. Darren loved the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs. Darren loved to fish and would go any time he had the opportunity. Darren also loved shoes, always trying to find a cool new pair to wear. Darren loved rap and being silly, always putting a smile on everyone’s face. Darren enjoyed the simple things in life, most importantly, family and friends.
Darren is survived by his mother, Tammy Morlan (Todd), of Tilton, Illinois; his father, Dan “Bird” Williams (Elaine), of Danville, Illinois; his adopted father, Keith Whorrall, of Danville, Illinois; his step-brother, Keith Aaron Whorrall (Valerie), and his children, Heaven, Keith, and Halei, of Danville, Illinois; his brother, Robbie Mendez, of Tampa, Florida; his sister, Angelina Fulfer (Jonathan), and her children, Sofia and Lincoln, of Covington, Indiana; his sister, Salina Hernandez, and her children, Siana, Carmelita, Vannelope, and Katalina, of Hoopeston, Illinois; his sister Layla Hill (Jasnai), and her children, James and Jasiah, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his uncle, Richard Davis (Tammy), and his children Trey (who was like a brother to Darren) and Mariah, of Danville, Illinois. Trey wasn’t just Darren’s cousin, he was one of Darren’s closest friends. Trey was always there for Darren whenever he needed him; and another father-figure to Darren, Marty Acord Jr. (Paula), of Covington, Indiana.
Darren left an impression on everyone he met, and he will be missed by all the many people he touched during his short life.
