Charles "Butch" Franklin Crowder Jr.

Charles "Butch" Crowder, 75, of Danville, formerly of Georgetown, passed away November 7th, 2023 with his family by his side. Butch was born on December 6th, 1947 to Charles and Dorothy Crowder. Butch graduated Georgetown High School where he was a star athlete in many sports. After high school he was employed by the city of Danville where he retired after 30 years.

Butch will be sadly missed by his children Melissa (Ed Spickard) Crowder, Cody (Jody) Crowder, grandchildren Dalton and Dakota (Dakota Nank) Burmeister, Josy Crowder, great grandchildren Lyndzee and Arthur Burmeister and special cousins Keith (Sharon) Walker, Lisa Lonne-Kellett, Elizabeth Brady and Marilee Donaldson-Lonne.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents his grandma Grace Crowder, many aunts uncles and a special cousin Janice Brady.

Butch enjoyed fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting and most of all loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids, also spending Wednesday nights with his buddies.

A celebration of life will be December 3rd, 2023 from 3-6 p.m. at Sarge's Tap in Danville.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
