Charles A Cantrell 93 of Indianapolis Indiana went to be with the lord on
December 10, 2021 at the VA Honor House in Danville IL
Charles was born May 15,1928 in Glenco, Ky to John & Amanda Hicks , Later was adopted to Vessie Lee & Lura Cantrell of Magnolia KY.
He is survived by his wife Constance Cantrell of Indianapolis, Son Gary S Cantrell of Louisville Ky, Son Gregory (Alma) Cantrell of Veedersburg Indiana, Daughter Michelle (Bill) Allen of Onaway Michigan 6 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents & 2 brother’s Jack & Earl Hicks
Charles Served in the Army Air Force from 1945-1947 PFC 463d at Geiger Field Washington. With a Honorable Discharge on May 14, 1947
In his early life worked for his father in the general store in Magnolia Ky and drove the truck for the family business, after working for his father he joined a carpenters union out of Louisville KY and traveled throughout the United States for 10yrs doing construction work. He then settled down in Indianapolis Indiana and started his own business as Cantrell Contracting. He worked as a contractor around the Indianapolis area until 2013 and then retired.
He was a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church Magnolia KY, a Member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge Indianapolis, Scottish Rite & Shrine of Indianapolis, Life member of the American Legion & D.A.V. & Millersville Chapter #300 Eastern Star
