Carla Faye Nesbitt, 58, passed away peacefully at her sister's home surrounded by family on July 31, 2024. Carla was born on February 18th, 1966, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth R. "Red" Lewis and Barbara A. (Hoskins) Lewis. Survivors include: two sons, TJ (Shelly) Richards of Eldorado, IL, Kelby (Bailey) Nesbitt of Lafayette, IN; one daughter, Kaylee (Morgan) Learnard of Fairmount, IL and former husband Alan Nesbitt of Oakwood; eleven grandchildren, Maddison Richards, Haliegh Russell (Adam Ashworth), Breanna Richards (Armando Segura Jr.), Kaideyn Richards, Tyliene Richards, Remi Pickering, Bentlee Nesbitt, Olivia Adams, Evelyn Adams, Faye Learnard, Effie Learnard, and another Learnard granddaughter on the way. One brother Larry R. Lewis of Danville; two sisters, Debbie Knight of Westville and Balinda S. (William) Barney of Patoka, IN; two nieces, Dawn White, Brook (Colby) Ferber; three nephews, Darrin (Karla) Morgan, Jade (Emily) Barney, Lance (Aly) Barney; six great-grandchildren and a significant other of 14 years Tommy Baldwin. She was preceded in death by her parents. She loved attending family reunions, gardening, watching thunderstorms and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Per her wishes, Carla will be cremated and her interment of ashes will be placed in Woodlawn Cemetery. A celebration of life dinner will be held at the Catlin Church of Christ on August 18th, 2024 starting at 2 p.m., friends and family are welcome.
