Carl L. Youngblood (83), of Alva Florida (formerly of Georgetown, IL), passed away on August 24, 2023 in his home state of Indiana surrounded by loved ones.
Carl, was born to Ralph and Virginia Youngblood on January 1, 1940 in Williamsport, Indiana.
Carl had 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters: Lyle (Nancy) Youngblood, Don Youngblood, Iris (Lynn) Richey and Carolyn (John) Wills.
Carl married Patricia (Tocco) and had 4 children: Tonia (Jerry) Mathews, Kimberli Youngblood, Ralph “Scotty” Youngblood, Vicki (Brett) Slinker.
Carl married again to Susan (Bickers) and had 2 children: Amanda (Brian) Sprouse, Joshua (Kayla) Youngblood.
Carl was a grandfather to 16: Brock (Angie) Ricketts, Blake Ricketts, Rikee (Casey) Fields, Wesley Matthews, Kya Matthews, Tatianna Matthews, Kristen Wesley, Ryan Wesley, Anna (Brian) Durham, Jarod (Cassidy) Slinker, Emma Sprouse, Camden Sprouse, Caleb Youngblood, Tristan Youngblood, Ryleigh Buck and Easton Buck, and numerous great grandchildren.
Carl was preceded by his mother and father, brothers Lyle and Don, sister Iris, wife Susan, son Scotty and granddaughter Kristen and great granddaughter Natalie Jo.
He graduated from Seeger High school and enlisted in the Army attaining the rank of Sergeant. Carl worked at Quaker Oats in Danville IL and retired in 2000.
Carl was very active in area churches where he lived and was a devout Christian and God-fearing man. He loved to grow vegetables, mowing lawns, and visiting with family and friends and looked forward to the Youngblood Family Reunion every year.
Memorial services will be held at a later date, announcements will be posted so all can attend and pay respects.
