Barbara Ann (Zick) Reffett, 86, passed away on April 23, 2026, at Hawthorne Inn of Danville, Illinois. She was born August 9th, 1939, in Humerick, Illinois to George and Pauline (Pearson) Zick. Barbara was united in marriage to Charles G. (Chuck) Reffett Jr. on February 14th, 1998, in Georgetown, Illinois. He survives in Danville, IL. 

Also surviving is her daughter Kim Lape of Danville, IL., her son Jeff Mollett of Mattoon, IL., grandchildren: Ryan Douglas, Tyler Douglas, Emili Garza, Lindsay Cobble, Jason Hepner, Dawn Gerrard, Joshua Gerrard and Deanna Bowling. Great grandchildren: Aidyn, Athena and Thea. She is also survived by her baby brother Roger Gene (Linda) Zick of Greenville, IL., along with several nieces and nephews.

Barbara worked at Chuckles Candy Factory, Peterson Puritan, Provena United Samaritans Medical Center and retiring from Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman, IL., as a CNA, in which she took great pride in her work and loved taking care of her residents.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry and his wife Shirley, her brother Rodney and his wife Peggy and her daughter Kristi Lee (Mollett) Cobble.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to the Vermillion County Animal Shelter on Catlin/Tilton Road Danville, IL., or to Catlin Church of Christ 715 W. Vermilion St. Catlin, IL.

The family would love to give a special thank you to the nurses, CNA"s, dietary, housekeeping and physical therapy and activities department for the love and care for Barbara. Also, a very special thank you to her hospice nurse Marj and CNA Peggy and the Carle Hospice Team. You all are deeply appreciated and loved.
