Ashley Sue Scott Obituary
Ashley Sue Scott, 39, gained her wings on May 18, 2025.
She was born in Danville Illinois on December 10, 1985 to her loving parents Hubert Earl Scott Jr. (Butch) and Rhonda Kay (Rowley) Scott.
The memories will last from every softball tournament played, which felt like a million. Melting in the sweltering sun watching her play center field like a champ for years on end. To the long ago days of eating macaroni and cheese and ice cream on the kitchen floor while catching up with friends and doing what weird teenagers do. A multitude of family vacations to Michigan City; which was her favorite place to be surrounded by her family having the time of our lives. You could also always find her stopping daily for a fountain pop at Riley’s or Casey’s to catch up with her favorite girls there for awhile.
The light of Ashley’s life for the last 14 years while battling all her health issues was her baby girl Arya. They were inseparable and regardless of what was going on, Ashley always made sure that Arya was cared for and loved despite anything. Forever dancing and singing in the car (always Michael Jackson, if you know Arya at all). Full days of swimming every summer at Nana and Papa’s house with Ash watching every lap she swam and every dive off the diving board. Days full of golf cart rides to any and everywhere, most times with Arya giving the directions. Nightly Disney movies marathons because neither one could ever watch too many Disney movies.
Ashley will be remembered for her infectious smile and big laugh. The way she let everyone know exactly where they stood with her and loved those who loved her with her whole heart. From loud snores, to loud laughs there wasn’t ever any quiet wherever she was. She had no greater joy in this world than being a mom to her sweet girl Arya Saphira. Through a long battle with multiple health issues, her unwavering resilience and strength never diminished. She was strong and she was fierce and she never gave up no matter what she was going through. Her strength through every battle, big and small will be remembered forever.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Arya Saphira Chadd, parents Butch and Rhonda Scott, sister Hope Scott, niece Sophia Scott-Musa, her very best friend in the whole world Sarah Stump (Kevin) Hendricks who continually checked in on her and was at every surgery and hospital stay that she could make it to while working and raising our two favorite littles Layla and Nolan, paternal grandfather Hubert Earl Scott Sr., Aunt Becky & Uncle Larry Neff, Aunt Barbara & Uncle Michael Rowley, Aunt Tracy & Uncle Drew Collins, Aunt Diane & Uncle Barry Claypool, Aunt Debbie & Uncle Joe Dunbar, cousins: Jared (Dana) Rowley, Lauren (Nick) Reno, Gidget (Randy) Watkins, Kristin (Karl) Stupples, Jason Hart, and Larry Gene (Letty) Neff.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Donald Eugene and Frances Rose Rowley and paternal grandmother Ima Sue Scott.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for all their help along the way to Dr. Hafeez and staff at St. Vincent, Dr. Prevedello and staff and Dr. Ghalib and staff at Ohio State University.
This isn’t a goodbye, but a see ya later. We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. Love you forever.
No services will be held, a memorial will be celebrated at a later date.
