Anthony Scott Weathers Obituary

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony "Tony"  Scott Weathers, age 44, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Tony was born on May 17, 1982, in Danville, Illinois, to his parents, Joe and Twila Weathers. Throughout his life, Tony was known for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone he met. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and was always willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return.

Tony spent many years working at Carmack Car Capital before pursuing his passion for owning and operating his own construction and arbor business. He took great pride in his work and found fulfillment in building something of his own through hard work and determination.

Outside of work, Tony loved catfishing and rarely missed an opportunity to attend fishing tournaments. Whether he was casting a line on the water, spending time with friends, or simply enjoying life's quiet moments, he found happiness in the company of those he loved. Above all else, Tony cherished every moment spent with his beloved fiancée, Jessica, and their family. His love was steadfast, his laughter contagious, and his presence brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Joe Weathers Sr.; his grandmother, Barbara J. Davis; and his cherished fur baby, Irie Weathers, who held a special place in his heart.

He leaves behind his parents, Joe and Twila Weathers; his brother, Kyle (Emily) Weathers; his treasured niece, Adyson Weathers; his grandmother Kathy Weathers; his devoted fiancée, Jessica Brandt; and the boys he loved as his own, Gabe Acord, Trenton Acord, Kolton Acord & his fur baby Lucy. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, Bridgette (David) Martin and Carrie (Dave) Milholland; several cousins whom he loved dearly; countless friends; and everyone whose lives were made brighter by his kindness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.

Tony's life was a beautiful example of selflessness, compassion, and unconditional love. He touched countless lives through his willingness to help others, his infectious smile, and his ability to make everyone feel like family. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we are forever grateful for the memories he gave us and the love he shared so freely.

Though Tony is no longer with us in person, his spirit will continue to live on in every fishing trip, every act of kindness, every shared laugh, and every cherished memory. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
