Amanda Lynn (Pate) Wagoner of Westville passed away on July 26th 2022 at 9:37am after a long battle with illness.
Amanda was born July 11th 1983 in Danville to Doug and Kathy Pate. Amanda married the love of her life Brad Wagoner on June 26th 2008. They had three daughter’s Anastasia (Caleb) Pollock of Westville. Hannah Wagoner of Westville. Lola Wagoner of Westville.
Amanda was a bright, beautiful soul. With a smile that could light up a room. She was great at telling a story with a laugh that was contagious. She was a very kind hearted giving person that donated yearly to St. Jude’s.
Amanda held great values, biggest being nothing in life is free. Even as a young girl she was a hard worker. She delivered newspapers and worked in the fields. She started waitressing early in life and made a lifelong career of it. Working several years at Stake N Shake, then Oakwood truck stop. She would end her career after serving for 12 years at Rich’s in Tilton.
Amanda had many enjoyments in life. The biggest being Brad and their girls. She was amazing at the violin that she played for many years. She had a love for music and music history. She also enjoyed movies, her garden and traveling. She was so excited that her last adventure was seeing the history of chess records in Chicago. She had a great love for her cats Mr. Lugosi and Napoleon.
The one thing Amanda looked forward to every year was attending hog Rock. It’s been said she was the life of the party. She took great Pride in earning her motorcycle license’s in October 2020 and owning a Harley. She had a love for riding.
Amanda is survived by her husband Brad and their three children. Her mother Kathy Bryant and step father Tim Staley of Danville. Sister Autumn Sturtevant of Danville. Nieces and nephew Piper, Shelby and Reese Sturtevant of Rochester Nh. Step sister Sarah Stonebraker and her two children of Danville.
She had five brother-in-laws. Howie (Lori) Wagoner of Chrisman. Randy Wagoner of Georgetown. Carl Wagoner of Westville.Danny (Kelly) Wagoner of Westville. And Chad Wagoner of Westville.Many Wagoner nieces and nephews. She loved them all too many to name.
Her fraternal grandparents Dwain and Dot Pate of Danville.Fraternal Aunt Debbie (Mike) Higgins of IN.
Paternal Aunt Tammy Warren of Danville. Uncle Perry Michael (Pam) Warner of Catlin. Cousins Priscilla Lawhorn of Va. Monica (John) Meharry, of Catlin. Shawna (Stephen) Donaldson of Catlin. Baron (Ashley) Gouty of Westville. Emily (Dusty) Long of Catlin.
One great Aunt Jennifer Magnuson. Great Uncle Ronald Ritter. Many other aunts, uncles and family members.
Many family members have gone before her to include her father. Paternal grandparents Baron Perry and Shirley Warner.Her father and mother in law Howard and Joan Wagoner. Uncle Chris Warner. Uncle David Pate. And Great Uncle Donald Ritter.
Arrangements entrusted at Watson Cremation and Funeral Services of Danville. Celebration of life to be held at American Legion 115 S. State st. Westville, Il. 61883. On Friday August 5th2022 from 4p-8p. Amanda would want you to come just as you are with a dish, memory and story to share.
The Wagoner family would like to give special thanks To Monica, Tammy, Jen, George, Kayla and everyone that helped with her care at home. Great appreciation to the 8th floor medical staff and Hospice unit at Carle hospital in Champaign. And to Rich and family at Rich’s restaurant of Tilton for everything they have done for Amanda and her family.
